Our tenant’s safety is our #1 priority, which is why we utilize security cameras throughout the common areas, have a fob system for all entry doors, and employ security guard surveillance throughout the evening each night.

How close (in proximity) is The Carson to Shopify Global Headquarters?

The Carson is a 5 minute walk from Shopify Global Headquarters on Elgin Street.

Are the apartments furnished?

No, the apartments are not furnished. This gives you the opportunity to furnish to your own taste.

Is there bike storage available?

Yes. The Carson boasts a brand-new bike room equipped with a bike washing station and tuning station for FREE.

Is parking offered on the premises?

Yes. The Carson offers both indoor parking and outdoor parking at an extra monthly fee of $225 indoor and $200 outdoor.

What are my rent payment options?

Rent is due on the 1st of each month. We offer EFT payments so you never have to worry about late payments. You can also speak to our leasing agents to discuss other payment options.

If the rent is late for any reason, what is the penalty?

The Carson will not tolerate late payment of rent for any reason. Rent is due by the 1st day of the month. If a tenant fails to abide by these rules, we will proceed with immediate eviction. If payment is made by cheque and is returned NSF, the tenant will be charged a maximum penalty of $20.00. Furthermore, future rent payment by cheque will not be accepted.

How much notice are tenants required to give The Carson when they decide to terminate their lease (assuming that their initial lease of 12 months has expired)?

It is required that the tenant gives a minimum of two-month’s written notice from the 1st of the month.

If a tenant needs to break their lease for any reason, what is The Carson’s penalty for doing so?

The tenant will be charged a penalty equivalent to two-month’s rent. It is also required that the tenant gives The Carson a minimum of two-month’s written notice from the 1st of the month before termination of their lease.

What security deposit is required to hold an apartment?

A deposit equivalent to your last month’s rent is required to hold an apartment. Payment can be made by Interac, money order, or certified cheque.

How can an appointment be arranged to view an apartment?

What kind of maintenance is offered?

Our on-call superintendent is available 24 hours per day for emergency services. For non-emergency maintenance, please contact the rental office directly and the administrator will schedule a time for the superintendent to complete repairs.

Does The Carson enforce policies with respect to noise?

The Carson has a ‘no tolerance’ policy regarding noise. If it becomes a recurring problem, we will proceed with immediate eviction.

Are tenants allowed to have pets?

What Amenities are included in rent?

There is a Gym, Business Centre, Wifi Lounge, and a Secure Bike Room with a wash station and tuning station available for use by all of our tenants.
